Steve Ekholm is the PLA science teacher. He has been teaching with Pat since 2002. He graduated from Iowa State University with 25 hours in science and a degree in elementary education. After teaching elementary science for several years, he spent many years in the computer industry. A family move to Iowa City offered him the opportunity to return to his love of teaching. He is very excited to be able to teach in an environment that allows him to instill a sense of wonder through hands on experiences with science in action and building connection to children's past experiences.
